Today, paving stones are a competitive material in many respects. It can stand out with a classic shabby chic or a minimalist form. Be slightly larger than the standard proposals or impress with a metallic finish. The factor that differentiates the different variants of paving blocks is also the texture, it is worth paying attention to alternatives to the traditional smooth pavements that have been proven for many years, such as paving types that bring aggregates more to the fore, such as micrograin Microtec or Multigran, the so-called washed paving.

Washed pavers, or...?
Paving blocks are a multipurpose material, but also diverse. In the family of this type of solution there is a division related to the type of finish. It has a huge impact on both the appearance of the material and its performance characteristics. In addition to smooth alternatives, there are also those with a rough texture, which is obtained by rinsing the surface of the precast with water under very high pressure. This process results in washed cubes called Multigran. The leaching of their top layer of concrete leads to the separation of coarser grains and attractive colors of precious aggregates, including quartz, granite or marble. This adds an elegant touch to the overall appearance, and enhances the naturalness of the finish.
The refinement of paving blocks makes its appearance reminiscent of real aggregates, and thus enhances its stylistic potential. This significantly increases the possibilities of its use and matching to the design of the green area – especially if it is dominated by wood, stones and natural inspirations. Such surfaces will perfectly find their way into rustic, classic or even modern gardens, where they will emphasize the austere roughness of the whole. They will also be a good complement to landscapes where steel and glass reign supreme.
What are the distinctive features of washed pavers?
Washed pavers, compared to alternatives with a smooth finish, differ in appearance, the aggregate being at the forefront here. However, appearance is not their only advantage. What also sets them apart is their excellent performance characteristics, especially when it comes to safety.
Surfaces paved with them show a higher degree of anti-slip, which makes them suitable for surfaces that are heavily used; squares, alleys or garden sidewalks and paths made of paving stones connecting parts of the property. They will work well in both private and public spaces; around hotels or restaurants.
The process of rinsing pavers guarantees spectacular results, and their originality is enhanced by the availability of many colorful Multigran surface finishes from Bruk-Bet. The most exposed grains of pebbles and grits are in Gardeno garden slabs in amber and gray pebble tones, slightly less in the lines of Kontur® and Logo®pavers, which come in interesting shades; Coconut white, which optically enlarges surfaces, Sjenit and Grano grays suitable for modern realizations, or Grano yellow and brown, which will blend in with the atmosphere of classic or rustic stylizations.
A concrete surface that looks like real stones? It’s possible, thanks to washed cubes! The innovative leaching process results in a material that not only provides maximum protection against slips, but also decorates any space – whether modern or classic.
